April 6, 2023, the annual Bridge Awards Gala was hosted by the Homebuilders Association of Greenville at The Hyatt Regency in Downtown Greenville, SC. It was a magical night and a spectacular event. We are so thankful for all our teams' investment in our custom homes and want to celebrate with you! This year's Bridge Awards spotlighted Fairview Custom Home's hard work. Below, you'll find the five awards won and some highlights from the selected custom homes.
Best Bath/Best Overall - The Webster Residence
The Webster Residence is the perfect example of a contemporary design that meets a mid-century modern mountain cottage. A simple symmetrical façade, yet striking, welcomes guests as they approach the home to make a lasting impression. Blending in with the natural landscape, the house was designed to stand out and make a statement.
The primary bathroom is the definition of a private retreat – from the double vanity to the wet-room shower design with a Japanese soaking tub, this ensuite lacks nothing. The gray slate tile with white and blue veining flows through the bathroom into the shower creating a seamless entry, which pairs beautifully with the natural wood floating vanity.
Simplicity meets mid-century modern in this beautifully crafted home. Artistic functionality was the goal for this home, which was achieved using a talented and experienced team of tradesmen and designers who are experts in their craft. The Webster Residence is a true testament to modern design elements colliding with traditional mountain textures and materials to create a stunning representation of the ideal current mountain home.
Best Kitchen - The Shipley Residence
Nestled at the top of the Blue Ridge Mountains sits a one-of-a-kind, custom mountain lodge perfect for spending every day surrounded by the best views South Carolina has to offer. From the vast vistas that welcome guests as they enter the Shipley Residence to the reclaimed wood beams that span the main floor to the master ensuite suited for hours of relaxation, every corner of this home was thoroughly designed, sparing no detail.
The mixed use of wood tones in the kitchen cabinetry, ceiling beams, the fireplace mantle and the wide plank wood floors bring the lodge design to life. The kitchen was designed around the double islands, featuring a bar prep area suited for hours of entertaining. Subtle details elevate the kitchen design, such as the custom end panels that support the bar top to the countertop profile edges that assist in making the island cabinetry furniture-like.
An experienced and detail-oriented team of craftsmen and tradesmen was required to execute a home of this level. The blending of a traditional mountain design with a rustic lodge came to life and beautifully showcases the result when a talented crew comes together to achieve the same goal.
Best Overall - The Gervase Residence
The Gervase Residence is a gorgeous take on a modern farmhouse design. This breathtaking thirty-five hundred square foot home, built in the stunning Cliffs at Glassy Community, has modern and rustic elements. A black exterior with contrasting grey stone, natural wood roofs, and matching shutters showcase exquisite attention to detail. Both design styles are masterfully combined throughout the house to create an overall charming and elegant aesthetic. Upon entry, you are guided into an open concept great room with a double vaulted cathedral ceiling adorned with a reclaimed ridge beam and identical room transitions. Almost all the wood details and brick are refurbished from a torn-down Chicago building and an old country barn. These resources' character in the home is unmatched, and their use in almost every space is inspired. The lower-level entertaining space combines a show-stopping theater room painted black to match the exterior and a custom wine display beneath the staircase.
This picturesque modern farmhouse is a beautiful illustration of well-thought-out ideas executed by professionals who understand what it takes to create remarkable one-of-a-kind homes.
Best Bath - The Laskoski Residence
The Laskoski Residence is a breathtaking European Country home that proves to be anything but ordinary. From one-of-a-kind cabinet hardware to an illuminated brick barrel ceiling in the Butler's Pantry, this home showcases exceptional attention to detail and the artisans' skill. Over two years of planning and construction went into creating the 5,500 square foot, three-bedroom, and four-and-a-half-bath home that can accommodate the future needs of its residents.
Passing through the great room to the main hand-forged railing/staircase, you will find the primary bedroom and ensuite. The ensuite has a wood-beamed ceiling, crystal chandelier, and free-standing oval cast iron tub. The white and grey marble flooring is inlaid with black checkered tile diagonally installed to meet the traditional French glass shower partition suggesting a perfect canvas for luxury.
This home is a product of the time, energy, and resources of craftspeople who care deeply about transforming something ordinary into something truly remarkable. A house of this caliber is impossible for one person alone to create. However, the possibilities are endless when a team of artisans works together towards a shared goal.
