We have been building in The Cliffs communities and The Reserve at Lake Keowee for more than two decades.

Does Fairview offer both fully custom and in-house plans?

Yes, we offer a flexible approach to design. You can start with a fully custom architectural plan, modify an existing design, or choose from our adaptable in-house plans that can be tailored to your lifestyle and site needs. No matter the path, we guide you through each step to ensure the result reflects your goals.

Do you build using a fixed price or cost-plus model?

We develop a comprehensive and transparent project cost based on your finalized design and finish selections. This allows you to move forward with confidence, knowing your estimate is aligned with your expectations before construction begins. In our Cost-plus model, you have the autonomy to make changes with transparency. We also have the ability to offer a Fixed Cost option and can help you evaluate which will work best for you.

How do you present cost information?

We provide a comprehensive, engineered estimate that goes far beyond line-item “allowances” and a basic budget. Every component of your home is thoughtfully developed and accurately estimated, giving you a true understanding of costs from the beginning. We walk through the estimate with you, helping you make informed decisions, paying respect to your design, priorities, and budget, with transparency.

How do you handle challenges or unexpected issues?

Clear communication and proactive problem solving are central to our process. If challenges arise, we strive to recognize them early, address them quickly, present solutions clearly, and keep your project moving forward with minimal disruption.

Do you assist with interior design and selections?

We partner with experienced interior design partners who help guide selections based on your style and level of involvement. From major finishes to final details, we ensure everything is cohesive and intentional.

How do you manage quality control?

Quality is built into every step of our process. Your project is supported by your Project Manager, Director of Construction, Superintendent, and ongoing oversight by our leadership team. We conduct regular site visits, internal reviews, and detailed inspections to ensure every standard is met.

What if I live far away during construction?

Many of our clients build from out of town. We provide consistent communication, scheduled updates, photos, and virtual access via our client portal, Buildertrend. Weekly reports are sent to you by your Project Manager. You can follow progress closely and make decisions with ease, no matter where you are located.

How many homes does Fairview build each year?

We intentionally limit the number of homes we build each year to ensure every project receives the attention, communication, and craftsmanship it deserves. Our team is structured to manage a select number of homes at a time, allowing us to stay highly involved throughout the entire process while maintaining consistent quality and timelines. Our Project Managers are equipped to manage up to three projects, dependent on size and geographic location, with the assistance of a Superintendent.

What warranty coverage and support can I expect?

You will receive a two-year comprehensive warranty along with an eight-year structural warranty. Beyond that, we remain your long-term partner for questions, maintenance guidance, and future needs.
